Bank AL Habib MasterCard Credit Card is now protected by MasterCard SecureCode, which uses the advanced 3D Secure platform for internet-based transactions.
3D Secure is the latest technology aimed at improving online security through authentication of each transaction by the cardholder so that you use your card with more confidence and peace of mind. With this service, when you use your Bank AL Habib MasterCard Credit Card on websites that display the "MasterCard SecureCode” sign, you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) by SMS and email as you complete your transaction.
3D Secure service provides an additional security layer while using your Bank AL Habib Master Credit for internet-based transactions. It protects from unauthorized access. You will be required to provide a One-Time Password (OTP) that is sent to your mobile number and email address (if available) registered with the bank, when you make any transactions on 3D Secure enabled websites.
3D Secure merchants are powered by MasterCard Secure code. Also, the 3D Secure merchants will prompt the OTP Screen for the processing of transaction. Otherwise, session based transaction would be conducted.
One Time Password (OTP) is a 6-digit online verification code sent to your mobile number and email address (if available) registered with the bank in order to process an internet-based 3D transaction.
There are no charges for the ecommerce transactions. However, international e-commerce transactions may be charged as per the prevailing Schedule Of Charges

A dynamic OTP will be valid for 10 minutes only from the time it is generated, after which the transaction needs to be reinitiated.
You will only receive an OTP on your registered mobile number / email address (if available) for internet-based transactions on 3D Secure enabled websites. For non – 3D Secure enabled websites, you will not go through the OTP authentication process.
You have three attempts to enter the correct OTP. After three incorrect attempts, your transaction will be declined
The transaction will not be processed and maximum three attempts for OTPs will be allowed, afterwards, the OTP screen will be closed and the transaction would be declined.

Yes, you will receive an OTP via SMS and E-mail. However, you may incur roaming charges (if any) from your mobile service provider.
